Three Lehigh Valley establishments were cited in January by the state Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for alleged liquor law violations.

Licensees will have a chance to defend themselves against the citations before an administrative law judge, who may impose fines between $50 to $1,000 for minor violations, or up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. The judge may also suspend or revoke business licenses or mandate training.

The following businesses were cited:

Lehigh County

Mercantile Club of Emmaus, Emmaus: Allegedly sold alcoholic beverages to nonmembers on Nov. 22.

Wescosville Fire Co., Wescosville: Allegedly sold alcoholic beverages to nonmembers on Nov. 21 and allegedly failed to maintain records conforming with Liquor Code from Jan. 1, 2025, to Jan. 13, 2026.

Northampton County

The Democratic Association of Bethlehem, Bethlehem: Allegedly failed to adhere to conditions of an agreement entered with the board placing additional restrictions on their license on Oct. 18, Nov. 2 and Nov. 29; and allegedly sold alcoholic beverages without authority on May 7.
