Water main break closes Route 61 in Muhlenberg Township

Part of Route 61 in Muhlenberg Township has been shut down due to a water main break.

Emergency crews were called to the scene just after 5 a.m. for water conditions on the road. The road, also known as Pottsville Pike, has been shut down between Tuckerton Road and Reading Crest Avenue.

Motorists are being asked to take alternate routes.
