LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A fugitive wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting two Pennsylvania girls, including one in Lancaster County, was captured in New York, authorities announced.

The U.S. Marshals said its Service Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force found Dijani Brown, 28, at a Yonkers residence and took him into custody. He was then taken to Westchester County jail while awaiting extradition back to Pennsylvania.

According to the U.S. Marshals, Brown was wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in Manor Township, Lancaster County, and a 14-year-old girl in Horsham Township, Montgomery County. Brown allegedly met both girls through friend-finder apps, lied about his age, and then assaulted them inside his vehicle.

“The arrest of Dijani Brown removes a sexual predator from the community and underscores the seriousness with which the Marshal Service treats warrants involving children.” Supervisory Deputy Marshal for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Robert Clark said in a statement.

The Service Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force is led by U.S. Marshals in Philadelphia and surrounding counties. The task force seeks out and arrests violent crime fugitives.
