ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Numerous warming shelters in Allentown will be open for those who need them over the weekend due to the forecasted extreme cold.
The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Cold Warning across our region from 6 a.m. Saturday through 12 p.m. Sunday.
The warming shelters include:
YMCA Warming Shelter: Open daily, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. (intake from 7 to 9 p.m.) | 425 S. 15th Street
Daybreak: Open Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. | 457 Allen Street
Ripple Community Inc.: Open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. | 1335 Linden Street
Christ Lutheran Neighborhood House: Sundays, 7:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. | 1235 Hamilton Street
Ripple Church: Sundays, 3-6 p.m. | 1421 W. Turner Street
