CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A Pennsylvania man is facing homicide by vehicle charges almost a year after a construction worker died after a multi-vehicle crash, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

State Police reported a four-vehicle commercial vehicle crash on April 14, 2025, at 4:39 a.m. on PA 581 in Camp Hill Borough. State Police said the area was under construction with a right lane closed at the time of the accident.

A vehicle was traveling eastbound on PA 581 in the left lane when two other vehicles were traveling in the right lane, picking up cones, State Police said. The first vehicle entered the right lane and struck the side of a vehicle, then the rear end of another.

A fourth vehicle was struck in the crash. State Police reported one construction worker was pronounced dead upon arrival at a local hospital, and another was transported for moderate injuries.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the driver of the first vehicle was charged with homicide by vehicle on February 3, 2026. They were arraigned with an unsecured bail of $50,000.
