WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) — Several patients affected by the incident at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Dickson City continue to receive care at Geisinger facilities, according to an update released Friday afternoon.

As of February 6, Geisinger Community Medical Center was caring for four patients connected to the incident, while one additional patient was being treated at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. Hospital officials said three of those patients were listed in good condition, while two were reported to be in fair condition.

Since an update was provided Thursday afternoon, two patients have been treated and released.

The transfers followed the disruption caused by the fire at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Dickson City earlier this week, which forced the facility’s temporary closure.

No additional details about the patients or the circumstances of their transfers were released Friday.
