LEHIGH COUNTY, Pa. – Hundreds of FirstEnergy and PPL customers are without power Saturday, as wind gusts of up to 55 mph take down trees and electrical lines.
Our region is under an Extreme Cold Warning until 12 p.m. on Sunday, and a Wind Advisory that is active until midnight on Saturday.
Winds will operate 20-30 mph, gusting 40-50mph. Wind chills will be well below zero for the entire day.
More than 1,000 PPL customers are without power in Lehigh County as of 2:47 p.m. on Saturday, while more than 1,600 customers are without power in Monroe County, according to the outage map.
