The Carve for Cancer Winter Festival returns for its 14th year at Montage Mountain, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the “Live Like Brent Foundation.”

SCRANTON, Pa. — The Carve for Cancer Winter Festival returned on Saturday for its 14th year at Montage Mountain in Lackawanna County.

It’s bigger, louder, and snowier than ever, with ski and snowboarding demos, live music, and a free-to-enter competition on the slopes.

Organizers say the festival aims to raise awareness of blood cancers and help patients in need.

“You know we’ve had really, really cold years, and we’ve had really, really warm years, and the same thing is true. It’s an amazing vibe. Everybody is out here to support us,” said Josh Frank, Live Like Brent Foundation President.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the “Live Like Brent Foundation,” providing financial support to blood cancer patients and their families here in Lackawanna County.
