Drivers should expect temporary lane restrictions on Route 143 as construction crews work on the I-78 Lenhartsville Bridge Replacement Project.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Bridging Pennsylvania Constructors will implement single-lane closures during nighttime hours from Tuesday, Feb. 10 through Wednesday, Feb. 12, weather permitting. The closures will allow crews to remove overhead bridge beams.
Work will occur between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Flaggers will be present intermittently to direct traffic safely through the work zone.
PennDOT advises motorists to allow additional travel time and follow posted detour signage during the closure period.
The bridge replacement is part of PennDOT’s Major Bridges P3 Program. The public-private partnership involves Bridging Pennsylvania Developers-I, led by Shikun & Binui Ltd. and Macquarie Capital, along with a consortium of construction firms including S&B USA Construction and FCC Construction.
