In Philadelphia, pizza is a lifestyle. And National Pizza Day — Monday, Feb. 9 — is your moment to lean in, whether that means revisiting a longtime favorite or trying something new.

From old-school neighborhood pies to newer, buzz-worthy kitchens, these Philly-area pizzerias are worth a celebratory slice (or three).

Revolution House

At Old City’s Revolution House, artisanal pizzas are fired in a signature wood-fired oven with a perfectly crisp, smoky crust. Try the Prosciutto Pizza (with arugula, fennel, and hot garlic honey) or the Ryan (topped with short rib, caramelized onions, fontina, mozzarella, and balsamic).

Dolce Italian

Along with house-made pastas and other signature Italian dishes, Dolce Italian also offers Neapolitan-style pizzas. You can’t go wrong with the classic Margherita or a Bianca with burrata, pistachio and basil. But if you’d like a little bit of luxury on National Pizza Day, you’ll want the Startufata featuring prosciutto and gorgonzola dolce, drizzled with truffle oil.

Assembly Pizza Co.

This new arrival at Gather Food Hall in Schuylkill Yards brings a fresh, craft-driven approach to pizza from hospitality professional Caleb Walcott. He was inspired by his upbringing in a family of makers and builders, so Assembly considers pizza a true craft. Hands-on care and thoughtful technique is behind every pie. Try the signature dough blend of premium Pacific Northwest and Italian flours, fermented for depth and balance. It’s familiar yet elevated with a perfect bite of chew, crispness, and lightness.

Pizzeria Vetri at the King of Prussia Town Center

Simple ingredients and time-honored techniques create crave-worthy pies. Made with just four ingredients and fermented for four days, the dough at Pizzeria Vetri delivers the signature crust and pies that are chewy on the inside, crisp at the edges, and finished with perfectly charred bubbles. National Pizza Day is a great time to try one of their creative seasonal pies.

The warm, seasonal comfort-food atmosphere here sets a perfect scene for National Pizza Day. Avenue Kitchen’s inventive yet approachable pizza menu strikes a balance between creativity and classic appeal. Must-try options include the Pear and Blue Cheese and Prosciutto di Parma. The Buttery

The Buttery’s pizza program is all about comfort, craft, and the right amount of indulgence. A seasonal favorite is the mushroom pizza with a chewy sourdough crust and layered with roasted garlic béchamel, roasted mushrooms, taleggio, mozzarella, and fresh basil, all finished with a drizzle of truffle oil for an earthy, crave-worthy bite.
