BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A destination for unique sweet treats has ended operations in Northampton County.
A location of Edible, offering creatively designed, fresh-cut fruit arrangements, chocolate-dipped fruit, baked goods and more, closed in late 2025 at 11 E. Third St. in south Bethlehem.

The Bethlehem shop relocated to the East Third Street spot in 2015 from a unit in a now-demolished building on West Broad Street, near the former Boyd Theatre.
“It was a pleasure to have served the community of Bethlehem for the last 10 years!!” reads a sign posted on the East Third Street storefront. “We will continue to service the area with deliveries, as usual, through our others store locations.”
In the Lehigh Valley, other Edible locations continue to operate at 6379 Hamilton Blvd. Suite E in Lower Macungie Township and 155 Northampton St. in downtown Easton.
Edible, previously known as Edible Arrangements, got its start in 1999 when founder Tariq Farid launched the first Edible Arrangements store in Connecticut.

The concept, specializing in fruit arrangements designed to look like vibrant flower bouquets, quickly took off and became “a cultural phenomenon,” expanding rapidly to locations across North America, according to a historical account on the company’s website.
“Growing to hundreds of primarily franchised, locally owned and operated locations across the US and Canada, with the ability to hand deliver within one hour, Edible became widely known for being a creative gifting solution,” the description continues.
In addition to its popular fresh-cut fruit arrangements, Edible also offers other sweet treats, including chocolate-dipped fruit boxes; dessert boards and platters; and baked goods such as celebration cakes and create-your-own cookie and cupcake boxes.

Individuals also can shop various gift sets, including fresh-cut and chocolate-dipped fruit with roses, balloons, plush bears and more.
“Starting as Edible Arrangements in 1999, we evolved into Edible in 2020, reflecting our vision to go beyond fruit arrangements with innovative, handcrafted gifts and treats,” reads a message on Edible’s franchise page. “With over 650 stores across North America and the ability to deliver to 70% of U.S. households within an hour, we’ve built a strong foundation for success.”
The Bethlehem location of Edible closed its doors on Nov. 29, according to storefront signage.
A reason for the closure was not provided, and an Edible spokesperson did not return a message seeking more information.
More than 30 Edible stores, including the Easton and Lower Macungie locations, continue to operate throughout Pennsylvania.
