CHOP Out Hunger received a $15,000 grant from the Robert and Rose Cavanaugh Fund to Feed the Hungry Poor, a charitable fund of the Scranton Area Community Foundation. The investment supports CHOP Out Hunger’s Backpack and In-School Pantry programs, which provide consistent access to nutritious food for children in Scranton and throughout Lackawanna County. The Robert and Rose Cavanaugh Fund to Feed the Hungry Poor was established to continue the Cavanaughs’ legacy of generosity and compassion for those in need. The award underscores the importance of collaborative philanthropy in addressing pressing community challenges such as child hunger.
