Cold weather advisory in effect for parts of south-central Pennsylvania
INSTEAD OF HOW COLD IT IS AND THAT IT’S AN IMPACT. MORNING. BECAUSE OF IT, THERE WILL BE A LITTLE BIT OF A WARM UP THIS WEEK. STILL NOT EVEN CLOSE TO AVERAGE MOST DAYS. SO HERE’S A LOOK AT OUR COLD WEATHER ALERTS. WE DO HAVE THIS COLD WEATHER ADVISORY FOR PART OF THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY, WHERE THE WIND WAS EXPECTED TO BE UP OVERNIGHT, AND ANY LITTLE BIT OF WIND WITH TEMPERATURES THIS COLD WILL PUSH WIND CHILLS BELOW ZERO. SO RIGHT NOW IT IS CLEAR WHERE IT’S CALM. LIKE IN SELINSGROVE YOU HAVE SIX BELOW ZERO ACTUAL AIR TEMPERATURE, THREE BELOW. IN YORK IT’S FIVE IN LEBANON, EIGHT IN HARRISBURG AND SIX IN LANCASTER. AND WHEN YOU FACTOR IN A BREEZE OF TEN MILES PER HOUR IN HARRISBURG, IT FEELS LIKE SIX BELOW. SO WE STILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH SUBZERO WIND CHILLS FOR ANOTHER MORNING. HERE’S THE 12 HOUR FORECAST TODAY. IMPACTS UNTIL THAT ADVISORY ENDS AT NINE. AFTER THAT, WE WARM UP A LITTLE BIT. 28 I MEAN AVERAGE HIGH IS 40 FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR.
