The Wawa Welcome America festival in Philadelphia will celebrate a banner year in 2026 in connection with the 250th anniversary of the United States. This festival will run for 16 days, from June 19 through July 4, and feature expanded programming, fireworks, and free events across numerous venues.
A key highlight is the Semiquincentennial Salute to Independence Parade on Friday, July 3. The parade will include 50 marching bands, 13 floats, military elements, special units, historical features, and international groups. The route will start at Fifth and Chestnut streets, pass Independence Hall, continue down Market Street, circle City Hall, continue along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and around Logan Circle, return toward City Hall at Market Street, and finally end at Broad and Chestnut streets.

This year’s Wawa Welcome America festival will also include six nights of fireworks, the most in the festival’s history. The fireworks will take place on June 20 and June 21 at a soon-to-be-announced event, June 25 at the Celebration of Black Music Month, June 26 at the Kidchella Music Festival, June 27 at the Waterfront Concert, and July 4 at the July Fourth Philly concert on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
