Pittsburgh police are investigating another alleged antisemitic incident on the North Side, where a family has been repeatedly targeted.The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh and police are addressing the latest incident, which involves flyers displaying personal information and antisemitic language left at the family’s home.Shawn Brokos, director of community security for the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, said, “This is a family, and they have been targeted for years now.”The family’s property has been vandalized, including an Israeli flag that was slashed in January. Police arrested 34-year-old Ivo Stjepovich last week after surveillance video showed him slashing the family’s flag and driving off. He is charged with ethnic intimidation and criminal mischief.The homeowner reported that her family was targeted again early Sunday morning when someone shouted outside her window and left behind flyers. Brokos described the flyers as personal and antisemitic.”There were several copies of a flyer. Each one said the same thing, but very much directed at the individuals in the residence, very personal in nature and also clearly very antisemitic, threatening,” Brokos said.In a statement, the victim said, “These crimes are an increasing risk to my safety and the safety of my family. I appreciate the community’s support in bringing these people to justice. We are all neighbors in this community. Everyone deserves to live safely in their homes.””This is not OK. I don’t care what that flag is.
