PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — One step at a time, Alyssa Bowser rediscovered her passion for dance and helped others realize it’s never too late to find theirs.
An avid dancer as a child, Bowser left her hobby behind to pursue an education in business.
Years later, she felt something was missing. She returned to dance as an instructor for children.
It wasn’t until a community cookout that Bowser was approached with the idea of teaching adults.
She put together an impromptu summer class for a handful of adults who had either loved to dance in the past, or simply never had the chance.
After hosting that class for a couple years, her students encouraged her to do something bigger.
Thus, she found a space in Philadelphia’s Roxborough neighborhood to open her own studio called, ‘Second Chance Dance.’
