S. WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – Authorities are responding to a water main break that caused a sinkhole in South Whitehall Township.
Township police told 69 News that the incident is located at the 3000 block of Edinburgh Road off Cedar Crest Boulevard.
A homeowner in the area said crews arrived quickly with heavy equipment and began excavating at the site of the leak.
Officials say Edinburgh Road will remain closed until further notice, and repair crews are expected to work through the night.
The township will post an update once the road is reopened.
