Drone footage captured a massive ice crack splitting across Lake Erie off the coast of Lake County, Ohio, on Monday, February 9.
This aerial view, provided by Kelly Matter, shows the large fissure stretching along the icy lake.
According to the NOAA Satellite and Information Service, which reposted a timelapse from the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere, the crack was approximately 80 miles long and stretched from Port Burwell, Ontario, to near Cleveland, Ohio. Credit: Kelly Matter via Storyful
