OBITUARY
Beverly J. Hill, 65, of North Scranton passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Geisinger C.M.C.. She was the widow of James J. Hill Sr., who died on October 19, 2019.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Beverly Seeley Mahoney, she was educated in the Scranton School District.
Beverly was a dedicated homemaker who valued the company of her family. She frequently hosted gatherings for family and friends, particularly during holidays, always ensuring an abundance of food. Beverly enjoyed traveling with her family and creating lasting memories. She was deeply devoted to her late husband, James. Her affection extended to her twelve grandchildren, who partook in a traditional group photograph every Christmas, symbolizing the overflowing love within the family. Beverly welcomed anyone in need into her home and heart. Additionally, she was a member of the Taurus Club in Scranton, PA.
Surviving are children, James Hill Jr. and wife Danelle, Shannon Telesco and husband Dominick, April Hill, and significant other Joshua Whiteduck, Amanda Hill and companion William Woodard; 12 grandchildren; sister Suzanne Ottone and husband
Joseph, Linda Mahoney and Patsy Rosengrant and husband Dean; nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send a special Thank You to the Intensive Care Unit at Geisinger CMC Scranton for their patience and compassion.
A celebration of Beverly’s life will be held Wednesday from 5-7 pm in the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton. Interment in Fairview Memorial Park will be private.
