SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — A City of Scranton Department of Public Works employee was injured Monday morning in a vehicle accident blamed on winter weather conditions.
City officials say the incident happened around 8 a.m. near the intersection of East Elm Street and Kirst Court. A motor vehicle crash, believed to be caused by slick road conditions, resulted in injuries to one DPW employee.
Scranton police responded to the scene, and the employee was taken by Pennsylvania Ambulance to Geisinger Community Medical Center. City officials said the worker was treated at the hospital and was listed in stable condition as of Monday evening.
