The city will announce the winner of its first-ever “I Voted” sticker contest on Tuesday night in an effort to boost civic pride and voter turnout.

Just over a dozen submissions from local residents competed to become the official “I Voted” sticker.

The decision comes after the deadline passed on February 5, when people could vote for their favorite choice online.

“All of them were great, and we’re really proud of the students, and we’re honored that the schools and the parents worked with us on this initiative,” said Tonia Fernandez, director of elections.

The city said the sticker will make its debut for the public at the next election.

For those who want to take part in this contest, the city said it plans to keep doing it every election going forward.
