(WJET/WFXP)– An Oil City woman is dead and a Pennsylvania man has been charged after a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Sugarcreek Borough.
According to Pennsylvania State Police Franklin, the crash happened around 3:41 Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Gibb Road and Allegheny Boulevard involving a sedan and an SUV.

Police said the driver of the SUV drove through a steady red light at the intersection as the sedan driver entered it from a nearby parking lot, causing the collision.
The sedan driver, identified as 34-year-old Kassandra Frawley of Oil City, was trapped in the car from the crash and later flown to UPMC Hamot where she was later pronounced dead.

The SUV driver, identified as 39-year-old Ian Haux of Pleasantville, was taken to UPMC Northwest with what police called moderate injuries and was charged on Tuesday with homicide by vehicle while DUI.
Police said he’s since been arraigned in Venango County Court and is being held in the Venango County Jail without bail.
