Troop E Camp Cadet a week-long camp to provide a better understanding of law enforcement and community agencies is now open to boys and girls ages 12 through 15 who reside in Erie, Warren, Crawford, and Venango counties. There is no cost to attend the camp but participants who are selected must participant in a fundraiser.

The camp will take place from June 7 until June 12 where cadets will live and train at Allegheny College in Meadville. Those interested in this opportunity should apply online at www.pacampcadet.com between Feb. 9 until April 24, 2026. Further information will be communicated through email. An orientation meeting must be attended with a parent or guardian, and all necessary paperwork must be submitted.

Activities and instruction will aim to build the cadets self-esteem, self-discipline, teamwork, and lasting friendships. Cadets will hear and see demonstrations directly from the Pennsylvania State Police Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) and the Pennsylvania State Police Helicopter Unit

Those in the program are expected to follow certain criteria that will allow them to advance in the program. Participants are expected show respect, discipline, and learn military courtesy.

Check-in begins on Sunday and the week will conclude with a graduation on Friday where friends and family can attend the ceremony.
