Reading Public Library is once again offering the “Great Decisions” Discussion Group Series in 2026, presenting conversations on some of the most critical global issues facing America today.
The 2026 topics are:
March 17: Trump Tariffs and the Future of the World EconomyMarch 24: America and the World: Trump 2.0 Foreign PolicyMarch 31: Multilateral Institutions in a Changing World OrderApril 14: Ruptured Alliances and the Risk of Nuclear ProliferationApril 21: U.S. Engagement of AfricaApril 28: U.S.-China RelationsMay 5: The Future of Human Rights and International LawMay 12: Ukraine and the Future of European Security (followed by a luncheon)
The discussion group will meet from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in person at Reading Public Library Foundation Building, 113 S. 4th St., Reading.
Topics are presented through a briefing book, a video presentation, and a facilitated discussion. The $35.00 registration fee includes a briefing book with expert papers on all topics. The fee for two people sharing a briefing book is $40.00. Scholarship opportunities are available.
