PITTSBURGH, PA — A popular Pittsburgh brewpub cited last month by the Allegheny County Health Department apparently is closing.
Sly Fox Brewery in the Skyline on the South Side is being marketed by Legacy Realty Partners, which calls the establishment a “5,922 square foot former brewery space” on its website and notes that all of its brewery equipment is for sale.
Legacy is looking for someone to sublease the space.
The brewpub’s apparent demise comes less than a month after the health department last month issued a consumer alert for the bar. An inspection report noted that there were too many rodent droppings to count there.
The consumer alert was issued on Jan. 8 and lifted on Jan. 16.
The Sly Fox phone number remains active, but unable to take messages because its mailbox is full.
Based in Pottstown, Sly Fox has a taproom in Downtown Pittsburgh as well as locations in Pottstown, Phoenixville, Malvern and Wyomissing.
The future of the brewery’s Downtown taproom is unclear.
