ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Students in Allentown are squeezing in some last minute Summer-fun before the start of the school on Monday.

An organization called ‘Hope Kids’ hosted a back to school block party at the Allentown Hope Community Church.

Kids jumped in bouncy houses and got face painting before going home with a new backpack and school supplies – which was all completely free.

Back in 2013, the church held The Back To School Block party before ever holding a service, to their surprise hundreds of kids came to the event.

“And that kind of set our mission. We knew at that point The Lord was calling us to the children. To really focus on them to support the parents and walk alongside them,” said Emmanuel Suarez, president of H.O.P.E. Kids, and Lead Pastor.

The church runs a H.O.P.E. Kids Club that runs programs throughout the year to create stability and fun to the children of Allentown.
