READING, Pa. – Berks County is taking center stage at a regional tourism event this week.
Reading is playing host to the Mid-Atlantic Tourism Public Relations Alliance conference.
The three-day event is bringing dozens of travel journalists and content creators to the area.
They’ll get to check out everything the county has to offer, from historic landmarks and natural beauty to yearly festivals and more.
“To get them a taste of everything that we have to offer… and shine a positive light on what we have,” said Heather Zimmerman, president, Reading and Berks County Visitors Bureau.
County officials say tourism brings close to two million visitors and over $900 million dollars to Berks County’s economy each year.
