NEW BETHLEHEM – The Redbank Valley Church Association has released the schedule of Lenten services for 2026.
All services will begin at noon, and a luncheon will be served following each Wednesday service.
The theme for this year’s Lenten services is “The Easter Story.”
Wednesday services include:
Feb 18: The Rev. Andy Gundlach of New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in New Bethlehem will speak on “King Jesus” – Matthew 21:1-16.Feb 25: The Rev. John Phillips of the Oakland Church of God in Distant will speak on “Jesus, the Perfect Sacrifice” – Mark 15:22-39.March 4: The Rev. David Nagele III of Cornerstone Church of God in Alcola will speak on “Darkness” – Luke 23:24-38.March 11: The Rev. Scott Gourley of the Leatherwood Church of New Bethlehem will speak on “Love” – John 15:9-17.March 18: John Milliron of the First Baptist Church in New Bethlehem will speak on “Life” – John 20:1-18.March 25: The Rev. Dr. Gordon Barrows of New Bethlehem First Fellowship church in New Bethlehem will speak on “Mystery” – Luke 24:13-26.April 1: The Rev. Gabe Clyde of the Cottage Hill Wesleyan Methodist Church in New Bethlehem will speak on “Coronation” – John 1:1-14.
On Good Friday, April 3, the Rev. Carol Brown of the Hawthorn Church of the Nazarene will speak on the “Last Words of Christ.” No lunch will be served following the Good Friday service.
The Easter Sunday sunrise service will be held at 7 a.m. on April 5. The Rev. Zachery Lays of the First Church of God of New Bethlehem will speak on Matthew 28. Breakfast will be served following the Easter Sunrise service.
