The following fugitives are wanted by the Berks County Sheriff’s Office:
Jamie Robbins
• Jamie Robbins, 46, whose last known address was in the 200 block of North Eighth Street, Pottsville, is wanted on theft of secondary metal, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property charges.
Bern Township police said that on Aug. 27, Robbins and another suspect took copper downspouts and collection components from the Hiester Mansion, which is located on Berks County Jail property. They took the 68 pounds of copper to a scrap metal facility in Schuylkill Haven. Felony charges were filed Dec. 8.
He is described as 5 feet 7 inches and 165 pounds.
Vernon Carter
• Vernon Carter, 43, whose last known address was in Pennsauken, N.J., is wanted on retail theft charges.
Police said that on Nov. 17, Carter picked up a receipt he found in the parking lot at the Lowes store in Exeter Township and then selected $2,828 worth of items from the store. He placed them on a flat cart and left the store without paying after showing employees his receipt. Carter has two more felony retail theft warrants for similar incidents at Lowes stores in Berks.
He is described as 5 feet 9 inches and 180 pounds.
