PITTSBURGH, PA — A man is facing numerous charges after allegedly killing his sister and harboring her body for days in the Greenfield apartment they shared.
According to court records, Aaron Martin, 26, of Montclair Street, faces charges of criminal homicide, abuse of a corpse, resisting arrest and assault of a law enforcement officer.
Martin was arrested Sunday after police were called for a welfare check at an apartment complex after his sister, Charlee Martin, 26, had missed multiple days of work.
Aaron Martin was found in a bedroom. Charlee Martin was found on the floor dead. She had been shot four times.
A GoFundMe page has been established on behalf of Erin Martin, Charlee’s mother, by an uncle of the slain woman.
“Charlee lived with her brother Aaron, who has struggled with serious mental health challenges,” the page states.
“During a recent period of instability after being off his medication, a tragic and unexpected incident occurred that resulted in the loss of Charlee’s life. This devastating event has left our entire family in shock and heartbreak.”
