BRYN MAWR, PA — As Lower Merion Township eases into the ban on gas-powered leaf blowers, an upcoming workshop will help educate residents on how to landscape using electric equipment.

An electric landscaping training and equipment demonstration will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 5 at Ludington Library in Bryn Mawr.

Lower Merion-area landscaping professionals and caretakers of commercial, institutional, and municipal properties are welcome to attend the free event.

The classroom training, held from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., is reserved for landscaping professionals only. Spanish interpretation will be available. The public is invited to attend the equipment demonstration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The training and equipment demonstration will guide landscaping professionals on the transition to electric landscaping equipment.

Attendees will get an hour of expert-led classroom instruction, focusing on the logistics, economics, and benefits of transitioning to electric equipment.

Participants will then get hands-on demonstrations of electric equipment from manufacturers such as STIHL, Kress, Milwaukee, Greenworks, EGO, and more.

Participants will have a chance to win raffle prizes, including handheld blower sets.
