Workers’ compensation provider Summit is expanding its coverage offerings to Delaware and Pennsylvania.
Summit-managed carriers Bridgefield Casualty Insurance Co., Bridgefield Employers Insurance Co., and Bridgefield Indemnity Insurance Co. received regulatory approval from the Delaware and the Pennsylvania insurance department to begin offering workers’ compensation coverage in their states. Each carrier is rated “A+” (Superior) by the AM Best.
Summit manages more than $785 million in workers’ compensation premiums through 7,000 independent agents the South, Midwest, and Mid-Atlantic regions. It already conducts business in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
“We are excited to serve independent property and casualty agents and their clients in Delaware and Pennsylvania,” James Wood, president and chief executive officer of Summit, stated I the announcement. “We’re here to support them with a broad underwriting appetite, tailored loss prevention services, comprehensive claims management, and exceptional customer service.”
Independent agents working with Summit can use Summit’s WriteNow Online Quoting Service to submit a quote request for Delaware and Pennsylvania policies. The insurer also invites new agents to seek appointment by contacting Greg Thomas, vice president for Summit’s Mid-Atlantic Region.
