I-70 westbound closed after crash in Washington County; two people flown to hospital

HERE COMES THAT RAIN STARTING TO MOVE UP, AND YOU CAN SEE THAT UP TOWARDS PITTSBURGH AND REALLY PITTSBURGH DOWN TO THE SOUTH. YOU HAVE YOUR BEST SHOT AT SEEING SOME RAIN SHOWERS AROUND OVER IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS, YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE SOME SNOW OVER TOWARDS SOMERSET COUNTY AS WELL AS THE LAUREL HIGHLANDS. THIS IS A MASSIVE STORM. WE’RE JUST BASICALLY ON THAT EXTREME NORTHERN FRINGE AS THIS IS MOVING THROUGH THE AREA. SO IF THIS MOVES EVEN A LITTLE BIT NORTH OR A LITTLE BIT SOUTH, WE’LL SEE MORE OR LESS RAIN. AND FOR THE SOUTH YOU ARE BASICALLY YOU’LL SEE MORE RAIN SHOWERS. Interstate 70 westbound remains closed because of a two-vehicle crash in Washington County on Thursday night.PennDOT said the crash is between Exit 15 (Chestnut Street) and Exit 11 (Taylorstown).Emergency dispatchers said two people were taken to the hospital by helicopter.Traffic is being detoured to Route 40 during the closure. Pennsylvania State Police said drivers should consider alternate routes.This is a developing story. NORTH FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
Interstate 70 westbound remains closed because of a two-vehicle crash in Washington County on Thursday night.
PennDOT said the crash is between Exit 15 (Chestnut Street) and Exit 11 (Taylorstown).
Emergency dispatchers said two people were taken to the hospital by helicopter.
