Dementia education: The Wright Center for Community Health, in collaboration with Age Friendly Lackawanna, is offering free, informative sessions to help people better understand and support loved ones with dementia. Led by a specially trained Dementia Champion, these one-hour sessions focus on increasing knowledge about dementia and small, practical, everyday ways to support people who have it. Chicken wing dinner fundraiser: The YPD of Bethel A.M.E. Church chicken wing dinner fundraiser, March 7, noon-3 p.m., Bethel A.M.E. Church, 716 N. Washington Ave., $15/dinner, includes chicken wings, Spanish rice, a vegetable blend, a roll and dessert.
