The Parkland School Board unanimously approved five-year contract extensions for three of its four highest executives at Tuesday’s board meeting.

New contracts for Superintendent Mark Madson, Assistant Superintendent Michelle Minotti and Chief Financial Officer Leslie Frisbie will run from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2031.

Board President Robert Cohen spoke for the school board on the contract extensions, noting that they are the result of five months of negotiations.

“It has been my honor to serve with Dr. Madson,” Cohen said, adding that Madson brought significant experience and knowledge to the district. Madson came to Parkland from the Nazareth Area School District in 2021.

“He has given 100-plus percent of his effort to continue to make our district successful,” Cohen said.

Cohen thanked Minotti for her decades of service to the district.

“We are served well,” Cohen said, “and it will again be my privilege and honor to be voting in favor of continuation of her contract.”

Frisbie’s title will change from business administrator to chief financial officer. Cohen praised Frisbie’s ability to ensure all board members understand what they’re voting for.

“In addition to being a numbers cruncher par excellence, Leslie’s financial acumen has been displayed over and over again in her tenure in this district,” Cohen said. “We don’t just get the numbers; we get what’s behind the numbers.”

Copies of the employee agreements were not immediately available.

The latest available salary data from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and OpenPAGov is from the 2024-25 school year. That year Madson earned $210,000, Minotti earned $166,881 and Frisbie earned $180,006.
