The Lake Erie Folk Festival, created and produced by the Northeast Ohio Musical Heritage Association in partnership with WRUW-FM, will be held Feb. 14 at Case Western Reserve University’s Thwing Center at 11111 Euclid Ave. in Cleveland’s University Circle neighborhood.

Featuring all-day jam sessions, free community concerts throughout the afternoon, a series of workshops to suit a wide range of musical interests and topped off with a lineup of national and local bands sharing the stage in the evening concert, the festival will offer activities for all ages and abilities, according to a news release.

All daytime festival events take place from 1 to 6 p.m. in Thwing Center and are free.

The festival’s evening concert will take place in CWRU’s Harkness Chapel. This year’s featured performers include award-winning banjo player Tray Wellington and his band, local luminaries David Mayfield and Paul Kovac, virtuosic Italian traditional music ensemble All Boara, Blues musician and folk storyteller Afi Scruggs, and students of the Cleveland Institute of Music.
