Fuller Technologies is expanding its Lehigh Valley workforce.
The cement company, which was acquired last year by Pacific Avenue Capital from FLSmidth, wants to hire 165 workers worldwide, including for its 122,000-square-foot plant in Allen Township. It is welcoming applications from experienced manufacturing professionals and those seeking careers in industrial equipment production.
Fuller is also establishing its world headquarters in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, and has 200 employees at that office, with 2,000 worldwide.
“Fuller Technologies is proud to be a global company, while returning to its deep roots in Pennsylvania’s industrial heritage with the relocation of its headquarters to the USA,” Fuller CEO Dennis Cassidy said. “The Lehigh Valley shaped our identity and capabilities, and we are proud to be a part of its future.”
The company said the Lehigh Valley remains a vital center of American cement production.
“We are committed to creating quality employment opportunities here in Pennsylvania, as we expand our operating presence in the key American cement market,” Cassidy said. “With many manufacturers facing challenges in attracting skilled workers, workforce development is a strategic priority for us.”
Pacific Avenue Capital bought the company in June for $175 million and derived its name from the Fuller Co., which operated for decades in the Lehigh Valley before it was acquired by FLSmidth in 1990.
Fuller provides after-market parts and services for the cement production industry as well as new and replacement equipment for cement plants worldwide. The company has manufacturing locations in North America, Europe and Asia, and its global installed base spans over 1,400 of the world’s approximately 2,700 cement plants.
