LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. – Comcast’s footprint in the Lehigh Valley is growing again.

As of Thursday, the company’s Xfinity service is available for the first time for select homes and businesses in Bethlehem Township and Emmaus.

Ultimately, the expansion will reach more than 16,600 homes and businesses in the two municipalities, the company said.

The Lehigh Valley is one of the areas that Comcast has targeted for growth in recent years. The company previously announced expansions to Coopersburg and Upper Saucon Township, as well as upcoming projects in Freemansburg, Palmer Township, Forks Township, Easton, and Lower Saucon Township.

“As promised, Comcast’s Xfinity is bringing our first customers on board in Bethlehem Township and Emmaus,” said Dan Bonelli, Comcast Regional Senior Vice President, in a news release.

“We are eager to offer our advanced network to thousands of new Northampton and Lehigh County residents and businesses so they can experience our suite of products and services, including Xfinity Mobile, as well as great offers like our five-year price guarantee.”

The Xfinity suite includes internet and mobile service, as well as the X1 platform, Comcast’s live TV, streaming, sports, and on-demand content.
