BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Cupid’s Chase 5K race in Bethlehem will lead to some road restrictions Saturday morning.

Bethlehem Police ask that people plan ahead and allow extra travel time if they’ll be in the area.

Road closures will begin around 9:45 a.m. and are expected to reopen by approximately 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., according to a news release from the Bethlehem Police Department.

The race begins at 10 a.m.

The northbound and southbound lanes of the Fahy Bridge will be closed during the race, police said.

City police said there will be a westbound closure from Center Street to W. Lehigh Street at Conestoga Street.

Sand Island will be closed to vehicle traffic for the duration of the event, according to the news release.

Additional roadways near ArtsQuest, SteelStacks, and surrounding streets will experience intermittent closures as runners move along the course, city police said.

Police officers, ArtsQuest staff, and event volunteers will be stationed throughout the route to assist with traffic control and safety.
