PITTSBURGH, PA —After this week’s thaw triggered numerous potholes around the city, Department of Public Works crews will be out for a pothole blitz to patch them on Saturday.

Beginning at 6 a.m., 30 trucks will be out citywide tomorrow equipped with cold patch, a ready-to-use asphalt material that doesn’t require heat to be applied. They will be driving street routes and stopping to fill potholes as they see them.

The department worked throughout this week to patch potholes that had been reported to the city’s 311 number.
