EMMITSBURG, Md. (February 13, 2026) – Hitting the road for the first time, Mount St. Mary’s women’s lacrosse travels to the Steel City to face Duquesne.  
 
MOUNT UPDATE


In the season opener on February 6, the Mountaineers fell to the Towson Tigers by a final score of 14-11.
Brooke Molchanoff picked up a hat trick and an assist to pick up where she left off from last season. She was joined in the hat trick department by Ava Kraszewski, impressing in her collegiate debut.
Hailey Chester finished with four draw controls and three ground balls while goalie Camille Thomas registered five saves.
The first win for the Mount this season will be the 100th in Head Coach Lauren Skellchock‘s career.

SCOUTING THE DUKES


Duquesne also fell in their opener at Akron by a score of 17-6. The Dukes conceded an 11-1 score to the Zips by halftime.
Emma Raines was a bright spot for the team with a hat trick. The senior is looking to rebound from an injury that cut her junior year short.
Attacker Gracin Emerson has already reprised her role as the Dukes’ assist leader from a year ago with four against Akron.
Last year Duquesne finished 5-10 with a 2-8 mark in the Atlantic 10.

ALL-TIME SERIES

Mount St. Mary’s is seeking their first win over Duquesne since 1998. The Mount won back-to-back games in ’97 and ’98 but have come up short in the past four meetings. The most recent was in 2015 with the Dukes winning 11-5.

The following Saturday (Feb. 21), Mount St. Mary’s travels to Easton, Pennsylvania to battle Lafayette.
