A motorist was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash Friday morning in Northampton County.
The crash was reported just before 9:40 a.m. on North Best Avenue (Route 145) at Spruce Street in Walnutport.
County Coroner Zachary Lysek said one occupant of a small SUV was pronounced dead following the collision with a tractor-trailer.
Lysek was not immediately releasing further information, including the person’s identity, pending notification of family.
Authorities closed Route 145 into the afternoon due to the crash just south of the border with Lehigh Township.
Walnutport police did not immediately release information.
