Michael Keaton’s name misspelled on Pittsburgh’s Walk of Fame
Oh, I’m so sorry. give you the official. You All right here. It And one together to the left, please. Thank you. You good, solid. I want the original big heavy. Yeah, yeah, I’m gonna get *** big chain and hanging around my neck. Thank you very, very much. This is ridiculously nice, uh. It’s another first uh I’ve actually, uh. Speaking first, I don’t think I’ve had words before, but I don’t think I was ever played on by *** tuba before. There you go at *** boy. I don’t think that’s ever happened before. Thank you. Hi, thanks *** lot. This is so nice for everyone to be here. There’s an old pal of mine. I wanna thank, thank you, thank you. I wanna thank you honestly from the bottom of my heart for even showing up for this. This is just so nice of all these and this is true what everyone says about these people. It is. I was just in New York City and we were, I was in *** car driving with *** cab driver, I think, or someone was taking me somewhere, and he was referring, he said, everyone I know from Pittsburgh loves being from Pittsburgh, and it’s true, such *** great place. Thanks for coming, everybody can see some friends, uh, my family, whom I love and I’m more proud of them than even getting this and, um, uh, my brother Robert came all the way from Florida, my brother Paul came all the way from California. George came from the rocks. And it’s down the river. It’s like *** an effort, um. I don’t want anyone to uh read this cloud coverage. Don’t read too much into that now that it’s been *** beautiful day and here we are. Um, I’m gonna read some things and, uh, just tell you that, uh, honestly this is one of the greatest days of my life. Um, I love these I love places like this, but I especially love this my hometown. I love these immigrant cities we’re all. The entire country is *** country of immigrants, and I, my own family looks like the UN and I’m so proud of it. Look, there’s nothing. I’m gonna read some things. There’s nothing like being recognized by your hometown or because it’s *** place that actually make you who you are these places and to be honored here. And boy, included among this inaugural group of honorees, people who have not just shaped Pittsburgh, but literally shaped the world. This, uh, this is almost embarrassing. Almost It’s, uh, you had to do it by age, huh? Man, honestly, uh, when I listen to these accomplishments of these people, you know, you, you know it, but then when you hear it right in front of you, it makes me even more proud and um to be part of this group. It’s just extraordinary, you know, I left here even though you never really leave here. I left here uh with kind of *** uh. Uh, *** rough, *** very rough idea, kind of *** rough draft of, of what I wanted to do, um, and what I wanted to be and the thing is, you know, it leaves with so many memories and so many experiences and so many characters that I knew over the years that I’ve created characters based upon those people but as I said, you know, this city, this, this, these experiences they shape you. At least they shaped who I am, and you kind of carry it with you. So this star, I hope, uh, when you Mostly kids, when you walk through here and they look down at this star of mine and the star of all these people, I hope they look up and they just wonder what’s possible. This means the world to me. Peace. Thank you.
