Insulin Pump Support Group: Insulin Pump Support Group monthly meeting, Feb. 19, 6 p.m., Abington Community Library. Speaker: Shivaun O’Donnell, R.N., a certified diabetes care and education specialist with Tandem Diabetes. She brings both professional expertise and personal experience to her work, having lived with Type 1 diabetes for over 40 years. Meetings are free and open to the public to individuals who are using an insulin pump for diabetes therapy or are interested in learning more about insulin pump therapy.

Pizza fritta sale: Ash Wednesday pizza fritta sale, Feb. 18, St. Rocco’s Church Hall, 122 Kurtz St. Pizza fritta will be sold in bags of three (with sugar or without sugar) for $5. Pickup times are 12:30-2:30 p.m. and 3:30-5:30. Preorder deadline is Feb. 17; orders can be placed by calling the parish office at 570-344-1209. Walk-ins are welcome until sold out.

East Scranton

Casino bus trip: East Scranton Seniors casino bus trip to Resorts World Casino, March 13, leaves Scranton at 9 a.m. and departs casino at 4:30 p.m.; $49/person, includes casino rebate of $25 slots and $15 food voucher. Parish bingo: St. Carlo Acutis Parish Altar and Rosary Society bingo, Sunday, St. Anthony’s Church, Rebecca Street, Throop. Doors open at noon with start time at 1 p.m. Tickets are $5/advance and $7/at the door. Along with the purchase of your ticket, make a donation of $3 or more and you will receive one extra playing sheet. Homemade pierogi sale: Ninth annual homemade pierogi sale, Feb. 18-March 27, St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 220 Church St.; available are potato cheese or cabbage pierogies, $10/baker’s dozen; haluski (cabbage and noodles) is also available for $10/quart. Pierogies are sold Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., St. Catherine’s Hall, located in the lower level of the church, and after all weekend Masses.
