Do you or someone you know embody the spirit of sustainability at the University of Pittsburgh? Nominations for the 2026 Pitt Sustainability Awards are due next week.
Since 2015, the Pitt Sustainability Awards have recognized faculty, staff, students and groups for their outstanding contributions to campus sustainability. Nominate Pitt students, faculty, staff — or even yourself — who have gone above and beyond for sustainability at Pitt in any of our five award categories.
In addition to the general sustainability awards for faculty, staff and students, there are two new awards this year:
Innovation Award to honor a project/effort that has creatively advanced sustainability on campus via an innovative solution and/or partnerships
Regional Campus Award to honor students, faculty and staff at the Johnstown, Bradford, Greensburg and Titusville campuses who go have made a positive impact to a more sustainable future.
These individuals or groups could have demonstrated their impact in any of the three categories of the Pitt Sustainability Plan — Stewardship, Exploration, and/or Community and Culture
Nominations are due Feb. 16.
