A man held up the TD Bank at Garrett Road and Lansdowne Avenue in Upper Darby on Wednesday afternoon and got to enjoy the fruits of his labor for less than 10 minutes before he was in the back of a police vehicle
The Black male allegedly passed a note to a teller demanding money about 1:10 p.m., with the threat that he had a weapon, but none was displayed, according to police radio traffic.
He had no sooner gotten out of the bank when the police were monitoring his movements, waiting to see where it would be safe to move in.
They got him in custody without incident at 1:17 p.m. in the train track bed off Garrett Road, according to the radio traffic
He was described to officers as light-skinned with a beard and bald head, about 6 feet tall and wearing a black jacket and pants.
