The Lower Moreland Police Department announced today the arrest of Chrystal Steward, 27, for false imprisonment, terroristic threats, harassment, reckless driving/endangerment, and attempting to elude officers.

According to the report, officers were informed of a verbal domestic incident occurring in a vehicle traveling eastbound on County Line Road in Huntingdon Valley on Monday, February 2. The vehicle was occupied by the driver, later identified as Steward, and a passenger, who reported that Steward threatened to shoot them and refused to let them out of the vehicle.

The victim contacted authorities and remained on the phone, providing updates on their location as Steward drove, which police described as “erratically, almost pushing the officer into oncoming traffic.”

The vehicle was eventually forced to stop due to traffic congestion at the intersection of Byberry Road and Pine Road. Officers approached the vehicle and attempted to speak with Steward, who refused to exit.

The victim eventually escaped the vehicle and spoke with police on scene. An arrest warrant was applied for and approved, and on Friday, February 13, Steward was picked up by a Bucks County police department after they had detained her for Lower Moreland’s arrest warrant, police said.
