PennDOT maintenance crews will conduct various road projects across Lehigh County beginning Tuesday, Feb. 17, with work including bridge repairs, brush cutting, and pothole patching.

The work will affect multiple municipalities and create daytime lane restrictions on several major roadways. None of the projects are expected to experience weather-related delays.

In Upper Saucon Township, bridge repair work on Hill Top Road between the Berks County Line and Mertztown Road will take place from Feb. 18 through Feb. 20. The work will require lane restrictions with flagging from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Also in Upper Saucon Township, Route 309 between Memorial Road and Mountain Road will have a shoulder restriction on Feb. 17 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Brush cutting operations will take place on multiple roads throughout the county. In North Whitehall Township, crews will work on Orefield Road between Route 309 and Cedar Crest Boulevard from Feb. 17 through Feb. 20, requiring lane restrictions with flagging from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Werleys Corner Road will see brush cutting in two locations. In Heidelberg Township, work will occur between Route 863 and Mountain Road from Feb. 17 through Feb. 20 between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. with lane restrictions. In Lowhill Township, the same road will have brush cutting between Routes 863 and 100 during the same dates from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. with lane restrictions and flagging.

Pothole patching work will affect Hamilton Boulevard in Lower Macungie Township between Weiler’s Road and Route 222 from Feb. 17 through Feb. 20, with lane restrictions from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In Upper Macungie Township, Route 100 between Industrial Boulevard and Trexlertown Road will have lane restrictions for pothole patching during the same timeframe.
