An alleged drug dealer sped off in a red Ford Mustang as police tried to apprehend him Thursday in Easton, authorities said.

Easton police are asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect, 35-year-old Jamarcus A. Fennel. Anyone with information on Fennel’s whereabouts should call 911.

Fennel faces felony counts of cocaine possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility from Jan. 30, according to police and court records.

“Fennel is suspected of selling crack cocaine in the downtown area over recent weeks,” police said in a news release.

He allegedly fled from vice detectives attempting to take him into custody during a vehicle stop about 9:25 a.m. Thursday.

Police filed additional charges against him of felony fleeing or attempting to elude police, and a summary count of driving under suspension.

Court records indicate Fennel was not in custody as of Friday morning.
