A Bucks County high school reopened for weekend activities after a threat placed it on lockdown.

Saturday morning, Falls Township Police were contacted by the FBI about an online threat of violence towards Pennsbury High School in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. While there were no classes taking place, sports teams and community groups were practicing at the school at the time.

The school was immediately placed on lockdown, safety protocols were followed and students and families were held within the building as police investigated.

Police later identified the person who made the threat and determined they did not have access to weapons or a plan. The campus was reopened to activities at 10:30 a.m. Saturday after police determined the threat was not credible.

The incident occurred a day after students at Pennsbury High School walked out of class to protest the policies and actions of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). It’s unknown at this time if the threat was related to the walkout.
